On April 4, 2025, Spring 2025 Cohorts had the special opportunity to visit the U.S. Capitol and meet with two accomplished IIW alumni who are now serving in senior roles in the Senate.

Jonathan Abdnor, Deputy National Security Advisor, and Kaily Grabemann, Broadcast Media Advisor — both in the Office of Senate Majority Leader, Senator John Thune — generously shared their insights and experiences with our students.

We were also fortunate to take photos from the Speaker’s Balcony, one of the most iconic views in Washington, D.C.
It was an inspiring moment to see IIW alumni thriving in such impactful positions on Capitol Hill — a proud reflection of the program’s reach and legacy.
