Beyond the Internship
The experience isn’t confined to the office or the classroom. Students live in the heart of D.C., fostering a living-learning community that can explore the city’s monuments, museums, and vibrant neighborhoods. Networking events, guest speakers, and other extracurricular activities help to round out the IIW experience.

Learning from the Leaders and networking
This program lets students engage with real-world decision-making and problem-solving in the nation’s capital. Under the supervision of accomplished faculty and Washington insiders, students get the chance to engage directly with lawmakers, non-profit advocates, lobbyists, and other movers and shakers in the D.C. arena.
