IIW Program

Illinois in Washington (IIW) is an academic program that provides University of Illinois students with the opportunity to intern and study in Washington, DC.  IIW participants intern in a variety of fields, including: politics, public policy, journalism, history, economics and communications.  The Washington, DC political and cultural environment provides IIW students with a unique academic and professional experience that complements their undergraduate coursework and provides a springboard for professional opportunities and career paths.

Students live in Washington, DC, while taking at least 12 credits of coursework from University of Illinois located there and completing semester-long internships.  Additional details are available through the links below.
